Our client, a leading national distributor of wholesale equipment and parts, is looking for a motivated Accountant with 2+ years of experience to join their growing team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
You’ll support daily and monthly accounting operations, help close the books, and play a key role in keeping financial processes accurate and efficient.
- Maintain and update financial records—ensuring transactions are properly recorded and classified.
- Support the Accounting Manager and Controller with:
- Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Financial reporting and analysis.
- Preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and prepare related journal entries.
- Manage account records such as cash, inventory, leases, and employee reimbursements.
- Prepare monthly accruals and maintain thorough supporting documentation.
- Process daily accounting tasks, including A/P invoice coding, expense reports, and internal requests.
- Partner with departments across the company to ensure accurate expense allocations and invoice coding.
- Help improve and document internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Serve as a backup for other team members when needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
We’re seeking someone detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in their accounting career.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a general accounting role.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset.
